Computer systems for wheeled military vehicles

REDFOX MOTS is a high-performance computer system for wheeled military vehicles. The system family encompasses all equipment components necessary to assemble effective and reliable command systems with high availability, exactly according to the customer’s wishes. The product portfolio and the various display sizes are optimally matched to the tight space constraints of wheeled vehicles.

REDFOX MOTS is the computer system that fulfils all military requirements according to MIL-STD 810F. A variety of versions with integrated touch screen displays and high processing power thanks to the Intel® CORE™ Duo processor/945GM chipset.

The computer systems in the REDFOX MOTS series are specifically built for extremely, hard daily use in military vehicles. The primary considerations here are high reliability in all situations and data security.

• Wide ambient temperature range: -25 °C to +50 °C for all-in-one computers with displays -25 °C to +55 °C for Black-Box-computers with fanless operation
• Dust, climate, low-temperature and high-temperature tests in accordance with MIL-STD 810F
• Temperature shock and mechanical shock resistance in accordance with MILSTD 810F
• Supply voltage: 8.40V DC in accordance with MIL-STD 1275B (for burst and surge)
• Dual-screen capability with a large selection of optional external displays
• Ethernet interfaces with rates up to 1 Gbit/s
• High electromagnetic compatibility and low emissions in accordance with MIL-STD 461E
• Hardened hard-disk drives (ruggedized products) or solid state disks
• Optional USB security stick
• Onboard supervisory controller provides independent, constant monitoring of the main computer

Remote and accessory displays

Remote and accessory displays are used as control and display units for the detached computer systems or as supplementary displays for the all-in-one computers. They have special performance features for long-term daily military use in harsh vehicular operating conditions. Thanks to the use of specific filters, legibility is assured even under very bright ambient conditions. The power consumption and dissipation are also minimised.

Docking stations

The docking stations are designed for wall mounting and for tabletop mounting in the vehicle. All docking connectors are fitted with mechanical protective covers to prevent soiling and contamination in harsh military use.
