Kent Modular Electronics (KME) design and manufacture a complete range of LCD TFT rugged monitors for worldwide military applications where low EMI and long-term vibration resilience are essential criteria. Our extensive range offers continuity by design for all navigation and transportation system requirements for both the new build and refit sectors.

Our rugged monitors range from 3.5in handheld to 57in widescreen format. Additional monitor features include slow scan (legacy) signals, touchscreens, PAL / NTSC models and scan reversal/inversion. These monitors are designed to comply with military standards MIL-STD 461E and MIL-STD 810F.

LCD handheld touchscreen military monitors

Developed primarily for applications where operator view ability is at a premium, the compact, handheld design of our handheld touchscreen monitors optimises operator viewing angles whilst demonstrating KME's latest transflective technology, allowing clear view in direct sunlight.

The rugged, metal construction of the monitor ensures exceptional stability, which is especially important when touchscreen operation is necessary. Designed to meet the stringent demands of shock and vibration the monitor is ideal for the more demanding military applications. Features include:

Vehicle mounted LCD monitors

This range of LCD monitors has been designed to comply with military specifications to make it suitable for use within vehicles and areas where shock and vibration are key criteria. They are housed in a rugged, painted aluminium metal case and are mounted through rear fixing points. EMC considerations include the use of extensive shielding. Features include:

LCD monitors for naval use

KME also have a large range of rugged LCD monitors specifically designed to handle the harsh maritime environment. LCD marine monitors can be designed to comply with EN60945, ECDIS and ABS.
