Kent Modular Electronics (KME) design and manufacture a complete range of LCD TFT monitors for worldwide military applications where low EMI and long-term vibration resilience are essential criteria. Our extensive range offers continuity by design for all navigation and transportation system requirements for both the new build and refit sectors.

The monitors range from 3.5in handheld monitors to 57in widescreen format. Additional monitor features include slow scan (legacy) signals, touch-screens, PAL / NTSC models and scan reversal/inversion. These monitors are designed to comply with military standards MIL-STD 461E and MIL-STD 810F.

Handheld touch-screen monitors

Developed primarily for applications where operator view ability is at a premium, the compact, handheld design of our handheld touch-screen monitors optimises operator viewing angles whilst demonstrating KME's latest transflective technology, allowing clear view in direct sunlight.

The rugged, metal construction of the monitor ensures exceptional stability, which is especially important when touch-screen operation is necessary.

Designed to meet the stringent demands of shock and vibration the monitor is ideal for the more demanding military applications. Features include:

Vehicle-mounted LCD monitors

The 29LM103D31MP-M series of LCD monitors has been designed for industrial applications that require a compact VGA / SVGA compatible monitor with good viewability. It is constructed from painted aluminium, making it lightweight with good rigidity.

The 29LM103D31MP-M series incorporates rugged chassis construction for shock and vibration. With wide viewing angles and deep dimming capabilities, this series of monitors is ideal for the more demanding of applications. The 31MP-M series has been designed to comply with military standards for shock, vibration and EMC.

  • Non-glare glass protection screen, AR coated
  • High brightness and wide viewing angles
  • Deep dimming capability
  • VESA standard rear fixing

Naval LCD monitors

KME has marinised a high-resolution TFT panel to suit the 15in equipment rack format. Resolutions up to 1024px x 768px can be displayed with superb image quality. To aid installation, flexible mounting combinations include VESA standard fixings at the rear and a separate mounting bracket for a control desk or overhead positioning.

The monitor is manufactured in full compliance with IACS E10, and designed with ECDIS and radar in mind and to specifically meet the stringent demands of shock, vibration, EMC and EMI defined in the IEC 60945 international standard for maritime navigation and radio communications equipment and systems. The monitor offers continuity by design for all navigation and ship automation applications.
