ESG Develops Demonstrator for Personnel Recovery Functional Area Service

ESG

For the European Defence Agency ESG is implementing a demonstrator for the planning and monitoring of personnel recovery missions in multinational command posts.

In February 2013 ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH was awarded a contract from the European Defence Agency (EDA) to realise a so-called Functional Area Service (special application) for the planning and monitoring of personnel recovery missions in multinational command posts.

By the end of the year, a demonstrator will be built based on a proprietary system architecture, forming the basis for a decision on the possible further development into a deployable system. The demonstrator will be delivered as a stand-alone, transportable system including hardware.

A particular feature of the system is the open service interfaces which ensure easy integration of additional services and applications as well as comprehensive connection for network-enabled capabilities (incl. meteorological data, geoinformation, air tasking orders).

With this commission from the EDA, ESG once again demonstrates its extensive expertise in system development and integration, as well as mission systems and equipment for multinational operational command.
