Parvus Corp - Rugged COTS Embedded Computer and Network Subsystems

Parvus is a rugged military subsystems supplier, specializing in Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) hardened embedded computer, communication, and display products. Leveraging extensive systems integration, electrical/mechanical engineering, and MIL-STD qualification expertise, Parvus develops ultra-rugged equipment that is deployed across a myriad of US military manned and unmanned vehicle, airborne, and naval platforms.

Parvus products serve as ideal solutions for Command-and-Control (C2) and Comms-On-The-Move (COTM) network centric applications, as they are designed to meet harsh environmental, power and EMC standards dealt by helicopter, fixed wing aircraft, shipboard, and ground mobile vehicle platforms. Parvus’ COTS product line includes DuraCOR® Processors, DuraMAR Mobile IP Routers, DuraNET Network Switches, and DuraVIS LCD product families.

DURACOR® 810

The DuraCOR 810 is a rugged military-grade mission processor platform designed for high reliability applications requiring MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461E compliance. It is mechanically designed with considerations for extreme temperatures, EMI/EMC, power protection, dust exposure, water immersion, corrosion resistance, and shock/vibration.

This high-performance COTS tactical computer integrates a low-power 1.4GHz Pentium-M processor together with a MIL-STD-704/1275 compliant power supply securely mounted in a PC/104 card cage. Up to six spare slots are available for PC/104(+) expansion cards. Locking MIL-DTL-38999 circular connectors bring out all signals.

DURACOR® 820

The DuraCOR 820 is a rugged small form-factor mission processor system optimally designed for space/weight-constrained military/aerospace ground mobile and airborne deployments. Less than three inches in height and 3lbs (1.36kg) in weight, the DuraCOR 820 delivers compliance to MIL-STD-810F (high altitude, thermal, shock, vibration, humidity), MIL-STD-461E EMI/EMC levels, and 28VDC avionics power supply standards (MIL-STD-704E).

This compact tactical computer features a conductively-cooled 1.4GHz Intel Mobile Pentium and solid state disk with Linux or Windows XPe operating system. Rugged watertight ultra-miniature Mil-spec performance connectors bring out dual 10/100 network interfaces and standard PC connections.

DURAMAR® 1000 RUGGED MOBILE IP ROUTER

The DuraMAR 1000 is a rugged Mobile IP (Internet Protocol) router designed for netcentric operations in harsh mobile environments. Leveraging Cisco Systems’ industry standard IOS® software and 3200 series mobile access routing (MAR) technology, the DuraMAR router enables prime military contractors to achieve mobile communications-on-the-move (COTM) and a wide range of new in-vehicle networking applications, from wireless Internet access to Voice over IP (VoIP) to streaming video surveillance.

This IPv6 compliant rugged router is designed to meet shock, vibration, humidity, crash safety, and water immersion standards of MIL-STD-810F, as well as radiated and conducted EMI/EMC levels of MIL-STD-461. Five 10/100 Ethernet ports and four multi-protocol serial ports are brought out through sealed MIL-C-38999 connectors. The unit's military-grade power supply supports aircraft (MIL-STD-704E) and ground/marine vehicle voltage inputs (MIL-STD-1275 with limitations).

DURANET® 2955 MANAGED ETHERNET SWITCH

The DuraNET 2955 is a ruggedized version of the Cisco 2955T-12 Ethernet switch, a fully managed industrial-grade network switch offering 12 Fast Ethernet ports, two Gigabit Ethernet uplinks, and Cisco IOS software functionality for traditional data, video and voice services with enhanced intelligent services features for additional security, advanced Quality of Service (QoS), high availability, and manageability.

DURANET® 1059 UNMANAGED ETHERNET SWITCH

The DuraNET 1059 is a rugged small form-factor 5-Port unmanaged Ethernet switch designed to provide Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity to IP-enabled computers. Weighing less than 2lbs and designed for MIL-STD-810F shock and vibration profiles experienced by rotary and fixed wing aircraft, this compact 10/100 Ethernet switch unit serves as a highly reliable solution for expanding port density to mobile IP routers and other network equipment.

DURAVIS® 3006 6.5-INCH RUGGED FLAT PANEL LCD

The DuraVIS 3006 is a rugged flat panel 6.5In TFT Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) offering daylight readability and a hardened mechanical design well suited for avionics other high reliability applications. Designed for compliance to MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461E, the unit features a high luminance LED backlight, wide 160-degree viewing angle, 600:1 contrast ratio, and six buttons to control brightness, power, and OSD.

DURAVIS® 3400 10.4-INCH RUGGED TOUCHSCREEN LCD

The DuraVIS 3400 is a rugged 10.4In resistive touch screen LCD. Optimized for panel-mount installations in civil and military ship and airborne environments, this rugged flat panel monitor offers exceptional low-temperature operation (-20C) and resistance to MIL-STD-810F shock and vibration profiles experienced by jet and rotary aircraft.

Featuring a high brightness CCFL backlight rated for long lamp life (50,000 hours), the DuraVIS 3400 produces clear color images in full SVGA (800x600) resolution with a 500:1 contrast ratio. Backlight brightness is adjusted through a panel-mountable keypad.

DuraVIS® 4300 Multi-Function Display (MFD)

The DuraVIS 4300 represents Parvus' fourth-generation COTS MFD − an ideal solution for presenting flight, sensor, mapping, advisory and other information for military aircraft retrofit/upgrade programs. Designed to meet MIL-STD-810F, MIL-STD-704E and MIL-STD-461E standards, the DuraVIS 4300 is based around an expandable PC/104-Plus computer architecture, avionics power supply and sunlight-readable 6.5In flat panel LCD.

Designed to accommodate standard 1/4-turn (Dzus) rail mount installations, the unit features 18 user-programmable push buttons located around the front panel, an anti-glare protective cover for impact protection and a high luminance LED backlight for long lamp life, excellent dimming capabilities, and exceptional low-temperature operation.
