Digital Systems Engineering (DSE) is a leading US manufacturer and supplier of military and industrial grade computers and military displays. DSE’s rugged computers and military monitors are MIL-STD and MIL-SPEC compliant, and are engineered and manufactured for use in extreme military environments. These include harsh environments with extended temperature requirements, extreme shock and vibration, explosive atmosphere, high altitude avionics, or marine and tactical environments.

Founded in 1995, Digital System Engineering manufactures its rugged mobile computers and sunlight readable monitors from its headquarters and manufacturing facility in North Scottsdale, Arizona. DSE is ISO 9001:2000/AS9100 Rev. B registered.

MIL SPEC MILITARY GRADE TACTICAL MONITORS SERIES

DSE’s Mil Spec Monitor (MSM) is a ruggedized military LCD display, designed to perform under the extreme conditions found in high-performance jet aircraft (Boeing B-52 Bombers, helicopters, transport aircraft, etc.), off-road and tracked vehicles (ASVs, HHMVs, JLTVs, MMPVs and MRAPs), unmanned aerial vehicles, and marine and submarine vessels.

MIL SPEC MONITORS MEET MILITARY STANDARDS

Digital Systems Engineering designs and manufactures their rugged line of MIL-SPEC (MSM) displays to meet the following military standards:

  • MIL-STD-1275 - wide range DC power input 8-36 VDC (12 VDC,24 VDC,28 VDC nominal)

RUGGED VISION-ENHANCED DRIVER MONITOR

DSE has designed a new vision-enhanced monitor driver for use in any tactical military vehicle. New features of the rugged monitor include:

DSE’S INTEGRATED NVIS TECHNOLOGY

DSE military night-vision monitors possess the latest NVIS technology. The NVIS components are integrated internally in the rugged display. The ruggedized display has no internal reflection or "halo" effects and maintains a zero color shift. The monitor will not bloom NVGs (Night Vision Goggles) of its maximum brightness of 1,000 nits.

ALL-WEATHER MONITORS SERIES

DSE’s All-Weather Monitor (AWM) is a waterproof, sunlight-viewable monitor. The sealed display is housed in an IP67 / NEMA 6 milled billet aluminium enclosure. The AWM series is lightweight and watertight, equipped with IP68 / NEMA 6P rated sealed connectors. The industrial rugged LCD TFT display offers an optional LED backlight, and NVIS option, making it viewable under direct sunlight and during night-time conditions.

MILITARY GRADE RUGGED MOBILE COMPUTERS

DSE offers the rugged VMC (Vehicle Mount Computer) for highly reliable vehicle applications. The anti-shock and anti-vibration mounting system makes the rugged computer the industry choice for ruggedized computing applications. The VMC supports both an LVDS monitor (DSE’s AWM L series) and a standard RGB monitor (DSE’s AWM R and VR series) simultaneously, allowing flexibility in monitor applications. Features include:

  • Video - Intel 852GM GMCH 64 shared system memory
