In critical situations, nothing is more important than receiving accurate data as quickly as possible. Whether that data is video, audio or digital, all parts of the communication chain have to be fast, accurate, and reliable. These requirements are not longer just in the realm of the military but are being demanded by homeland security and public safety organizations as well. C4I SYSTEMSTo meet these needs, Computech International (CTI) is introducing a line of field-proven tactical products. The initial three products, Eagle Eyes, VVS-2000 and WBR-2000, all support real-time video, audio, data and GPS transmission over wireless networks. A proprietary algorithm supports mesh networking, and units can be configured to support 802.11a/b/g as well as PSB frequencies. The feature sets are designed to deliver real-time data to key personnel, whether they're in the field or based at a command center. VIDEO / VOICE TRANSMISSION SYSTEMThe Eagle Eyes system is a wearable video/voice transmission system consisting of two components. Two cameras (daylight and night time) are built into the video / audio unit, along with a microphone, infrared illuminator (for the night time camera) and a speaker. The digitized output is connected to the communication unit, which houses the RF section, GPS transmitter and communications intelligence. Both units can be either worn in a vest or mounted in a fixed location. MOBILE WIRELESS BRIDGE / REPEATERThe versatile WBR-2000 can be used as a wireless bridge or repeater. Designed for a wide range of terrains, this unit can be used to establish a self-healing wireless network. Two Ethernet ports allow the WBR-2000 to be connected to an existing network, such as a land connection or a vehicle network. The unit is designed to insure the integrity and quality of video and voice data. VIDEO / VOICE STREAMINGBuilt into a compact ruggedized housing, the VVS-2000 video / voice streaming systems is compatible with a wide range of video, audio and data inputs. A high quality MPEG4 encoder processes these inputs in real-time, with data transmission being handled the internal radio. The internal GPS receiver handles location information while the service connector can connect to a wide variety of serial interface sensors. ABOUT COMPUTECH INTERNATIONAL Established as a privately held company in 1995, Computech International (CTI) is a solution provider for a wide variety of corporate, government, educational, health and public service sectors. Initially, the company focused on providing storage systems to the digital content creation (DCC) industry - systems that were designed and built for very demanding users in 24/7 environments. Leveraging on the experience gained from successfully serving this market, CTI expanded its operation to offer full turnkey audio and video editing stations for sale through A/V dealers in the US. Furthermore, we began cultivating solid relationships with IBM and a host of other major multimedia hardware and software vendors. These relationships, along with our ever-growing expertise, allowed us to offer a full gamut of services - from design to implementation and installation, and support and training. Ultimately, what we deliver to the customer is only as much (or as little) as they actually require.
