Backplane Systems Technology has announced the release of the VTT-1000 vehicle tracking terminal for fleet management system applications. This tracking terminal has been designed for rugged environments and features an operating temperature of -20ºC to +70ºC and has a drop survival of one metre.
The VTT-1000 features a 3.5in TFT LCD touch screen and is embedded with a robust ARM9 400MHZ CPU. It is ready to go with a pre-installed Microsoft Windows CE 6.0. The VTT-1000 features 128MB DDRZ memory onboard and 256MB of NAND FLASH Storage. I/O interfaces include 1x Mini USB 1.1, 1x OBD-11, 1x RS-232,2x LAN ports and audio. In addition to Windows CE SDK, the VTT-1000 SDK contains easy to use API's for application software development.
VTT-1000 is equipped with a Cinterion MC55i wireless module and built-in antenna for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication over GPRS. The MC55i is awarded full type approval and certified by global carriers and operators. This VTT-1000 is optimized with quad-band technology for worldwide roaming. VTT-1000 supports a diverse array of popular navigation software currently on the market.
