Global security specialist Allen Vanguard's new Digital Vanguard will headline at the General Police Equipment and Conference (GPEC) from 3-5 June.
This new version of the Vanguard, which will be available for demonstration at the show, has been upgraded with a digital command console enabling 'plug and play' accessory functionality, intuitive control and full interoperability with its sister ROV, the BombTec Defender. The digital architecture means new devices can be added to the ROV network and controlled remotely without returning the ROV to the workshop and suffering downtime.
Combined touch screen and hard controls mean multi functioning is easy – for example, lights and cameras can be controlled while driving forward or the arm can be manipulated when steering. In addition, the hand controller can be removed from the console to provide limited functionality via Bluetooth – this is particularly useful for training, maintenance and driving the ROV in and out of its transporter.
Dean Boston, international sales director at Allen Vanguard, explains: "GPEC is the ideal exhibition for us to demonstrate our expertise and strong knowledge base in internal security and counter terrorism. It will enable us to network with end-users and discuss how we can help with their requirements in the future."
