Global security specialist Allen-Vanguard's latest ROV, the Digital Vanguard, will headline at the Defence Services Asia exhibition in Kuala Lumpur from 21-24 April.
Delegates will be able to experience first hand the ROV's combined touch screen and hard controls that enable simultaneous manipulation of all features, including lights and cameras.
The digital command console brings 'plug & play' accessory functionality and its intuitive design means straightforward tasks can be mastered within 30 minutes. In addition, the console can be used as a laptop, allowing operators to compile reports and embed images recorded during incidents. This new version of the Vanguard™ is fully interoperable with its sister ROV the BombTec Defender, which will also be available on the Allen-Vanguard stand.
Further items on display include Allen-Vanguard's bespoke search kits as well as its exceptional range of HAL equipment, including back-pack kits designed for special operations, and the Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) tripod. There will also be the Med-Eng EOD/IEDD suit and helmet ensemble on show. Both products offer superior protection from the four main blast threats: overpressure, fragmentation, impact and heat. It can also be rapidly configured by the user to respond to IEDD situations where a chemical or biological agent is suspected.
Finally, there will be a range of key products and services from HMS on show, including counter-IED products and its unique TRITON database of global terrorist activity.
"DSA presents an excellent opportunity for defence specialists to come together and take stock of the highest levels of technology available," says Glyn Buckler, director, strategic business initiatives at Allen-Vanguard. "It is the ideal showcase for our leading portfolio of bomb disposal and counter terrorist equipment."
