For the second year running MTL Group, the fast-growing Sheffield-based contract manufacturing company, has been listed in the prestigious Sunday Times Deloitte Buyout Track 100, making the top ten for the first time.
The review highlights the UK’s top 100 private equity-backed companies with the fastest growing profits over the last two years.
In 2008 MTL Group (formerly Mayflower Technology) was ranked 18th and has continued to grow despite uncertainty in the UK manufacturing market. In 2009 MTL was ranked in 9th position.
Dr Henry Shirman, managing director of MTL said, “MTL has continued to grow during these challenging times through careful investment in our people and in the latest state-of-the-art equipment. This has allowed us to continue to develop both UK and overseas markets. To make the top ten is a massive achievement and a real testament to the hard work and effort by everyone involved with the company.”
