Mayflower Technology, the Sheffield-based specialist in contract manufacturing, has announced that with immediate effect, it has changed its name to MTL Group Limited.
As part of the rebranding - timed to coincide with the two-year anniversary of its management buy out - the MTL Group has also adopted a new corporate identity and logo that is consistent with its visions for the future.
Henry Shirman, managing director at MTL Group, comments: “We’ve worked hard since the buyout to grow the business, both within our existing client base and with new customers. We have strengthened our management team and invested heavily in the latest state-of-the-art equipment. Our strategy is to invest in both people and equipment, which allows us to offer our customers an enhanced value proposition,” said Shirman.
“The company has a strong customer base, serving many different sectors including construction, quarrying, recycling, agriculture and defence,” Shirman said. “The name-change was the obvious next step,” he added.
“This is a very different business to the one we acquired two years ago. We have increased the rate of investment substantially in both equipment and people, empowering all levels of employees to become involved in the decision making process and take ownership of their piece of the business. It’s a new era for the company,” said Shirman.
