Defence contract manufacturer MTL Group has received two prizes from the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry at the Sheffield Business Awards.
MTL Group won both the Wake Smith & Tofield "Excellence in Manufacturing" award and the UK Trade & Investment "Excellence in International Trade" award, which recognises the company for successfully developing its international markets and increasing its sales revenue and profitability.
Dr Henry Shirman, managing director of MTL Group, said: "We are proud to receive these awards, which recognise our investments in our people, our processes and our customers in international markets. Our strategic investments have enabled us to understand better our customers' needs and to support them both locally and globally."
MTL Group is a contract manufacturing group supplying a global customer base in the defence, rail, construction and renewable energy sectors, specialising in added-value metal components ranging from precision cut parts to high integrity machined fabrications.
