Sheffield-based contract manufacturing company MTL Group has undertaken the next phase of its investment programme by installing additional CNC machining, robotic welding and CNC rolling equipment.
The investment includes a Hartford Blockbuster vertical machining centre, four Fanuc robotic welding systems and CMZ pyramid rolls.
On the back of MTL’s success in the defence sector, the company has increased its fabrication facility to 60,000sqft to include a new assembly and fitting area.
Sales director Karl Stewart said: "As a result of winning several high-profile contracts, MTL has continued its investment in the latest manufacturing equipment.
"We are able to offer customers a complete contract manufacturing service by adding value through investment in the latest equipment. This has proved to be a major factor in securing new contracts from global original equipment manufacturers."
