Ballistic protection for vehicles, shelters and containers

In a world ravaged by global terrorism and soaring crime rates the need for protecting military and law enforcement personnel as well as different types of vehicles, containers, shelters and command and observation posts is of paramount importance. Secure land movement and transport of crews, passengers and material is the important advantage when it comes to operations which require high maneuverability and immediate reactions. GARANT supplies a range of modular, bespoke ballistic protection kits for vehicles and personnel.

Vehicle protection kits

GARANT protection kits can either be installed in newly-built vehicles during the manufacturing process or can be applied to existing vehicles during upgrade and modernization programs.

We can customize each armour system's level of protection in accordance to customers’ individual requirements. Protective capabilities can include ballistic protection, fragmentation protection, mine protection and IED protection.

Modular bullet-proof vest

GARANT's Type SEK vest is a bullet-proof vest that provides wearers with NIJ protection levels ranging from I to IV Depending on operational requirements the SEK vest can be equipped with modules such as a collar, groin protection, stab protection, ceramic inserts, steel inserts, aramid panels or shock absorbers.

The vest can be manufactured according to individual customer specifications to incorporate features such as flame-resistant outer fabric, upper-arm protection and special colours.

Lightweight protective search suit

GARANT's lightweight protective search suit provides protection from fragments caused by explosives according to STANAG 2920 and IMAS 10.30. Due to its modular design the suit can be put on and removed easily. The parts are fixed with robust elastic straps and large Velcro fastenings and thus guarantee maximum comfort. The LSA-4 suit can be worn for long periods without impacting on the wearer's comfort or performance.

EOD / IEDD bomb suit

GARANT's SPS-3 is the latest model of bomb suits for EOD/IEDD staff. It provides maximum protection against fragments, detonation, pressure, fire and acid burns while offering outstanding wearing comfort for a safe use in operation.

In order to allow easy body movement the suit's ballistic panels are overlapping. The outfit can be adjusted easily with variable straps and velcro fasteners. The SPS-3 suit is equipped with extra pockets for tools and a highly efficient emergency-doffing-system which enables the wearer to put it on or take it off quickly and easily. The suit is optimised for the integration of CBRNE equipment without limiting the wearer’s mobility.
