IAG presents new line of military tactical vehicles

International Armored Group (IAG) is one of the largest, privately owned armored vehicle manufacturers in the world. The company history started more than 20 years ago in the cash-in-transit field and expanded into the commercial armored vehicles market followed by armored passenger transport, and most recently the tactical vehicles market for military and law enforcement.

With the increased demand for lighter, more mobile and faster tactical armored vehicles offering a higher level of protection, IAG saw an opportunity to expand its product range while implementing the latest in armor technologies. This year at IDEX 2017, IAG is proud to unveil three of our newest products specifically designed for the modern military and law enforcement.

Guardian MAX Light Protected Vehicle (LPV)

The Guardian MAX LPV is a dynamic solution based on commercially available Ford F550 HD truck chassis certified to STANAG LEVEL II level of protection. With optional add-on armor the vehicle can be armored up to STANAG LEVEL III. The Guardian MAX is designed to seat up to five personnel in the cabin with a large cargo compartment in the rear.

The standard configuration includes certified blast mitigation seats equipped with five point harnesses mounted directly on the vehicle structural walls to minimise transmission of shock waves. The mechanical components such as the suspension and braking systems have been designed for superior drivability, off-road capability and to sustain the entire armoring weight plus crew and cargo.

The high payload military grade tires are equipped with beadlock tactical wheels and run-flat assemblies and can be outfitted with an optional semi-automatic central tyre inflation system (CTIS). To meet specific mission requirements the Guardian MAX can be outfitted with a remote controlled turret, surveillance equipment, or be equipped as a recovery vehicle.

Guardian Xtreme Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (MRAP)

IAG is proud to unveil the Guardian Xtreme Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle. The Guardian Xtreme is available in a 6×6 configuration with standard STANAG Level II blast and ballistic protection including the engine bay. It can be armored up to STANAG Level III protection using add-on light weight armor. The vehicle has a V-hull shaped floor to provide superior blast protection up to STANAG 3a and 3b.

The Guardian Xtreme is specifically designed to meet combat, tactical and surveillance missions and can quickly respond to remote area threats due to its high manoeuverability. It can sit up to 10-12 fully geared infantry personnel, including driver and commander and is equipped with military grade-certified blast attenuation seats. Optional accessories can be integrated, including automatic remote control weapon station, thermal imaging surveillance camera systems, grenade launchers, black out lights and much more.

Rila Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (MRAP)

The newest and largest addition to the IAG family of military tactical vehicles is the Rila MRAP. This is the biggest APC that IAG offers with the highest level of protection. The Rila MRAP can seat up to 12 fully geared personnel and offers STANAG Level IV protection with a V-hull shaped floor offering up to STANAG 3a and 3b protection. It is available in 4×4 and 6×6 drivetrain with a turbocharged six-cylinder diesel engine producing 240HP and 810Nm of torque at 1,200rpm-2,100rpm. It is available in both 12V and 24V electrical systems. Available configurations include military ambulance package, riot-control package and high payload package for cargo transport.
