Stiletto® HD Telescoping Mast with On-The-Move Capability

The Will-Burt Company announces the addition of the Stiletto® HD to the line of high performance telescoping antenna masts. The electric screw drive Stiletto® HD is a heavy-duty mechanical mast that allows for on-the-move capabilities and heavier payloads.
"The Stiletto line of telescoping masts was introduced to market in 2003," said Donald Barlow, Director of Military Mast Sales. "Since the successful introduction, the mast line has been steadily extending. Will-Burt's customers are requiring masts that will accommodate military vehicles that are moving and the Stiletto® HD has been designed for that purpose. The Stiletto® HD on-the-move specifications require precision engineering tolerances with a product that stands up to the stresses of shock and vibration while moving."
Donald Barlow states, "While on-the-move is cutting edge mast technology, a need for heavier payloads has been evidenced. The Stiletto® HD is a composite mast that will hold up to 400 pounds (181.4 kg). The 400-pound payload specification offers greater flexibility to the customer when specifying a surveillance suite or antenna package to be supported by the Stiletto® HD."
Additional features of the Stiletto® HD include:
- Larger tube diameters for greater strength and rigidity
- Robust collars for increased capacity and strength
- Assembly design to minimize deflection
- Three mechanical locks per section to maintain extension and durability
- High strength carbon fiber composite tube sections to maintain a lower overall weight and yet provide increased rigidity to the mast
Stiletto® HD is now available in 6 and 10 meter extended heights.
