FUTURE MULTI-BAND AND ACTIVE ANTENNASDeltenna is integrating additional functionality to further reduce equipment needs. This includes a single low-profile rugged antenna to cover all five leading commercial frequency bands: 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz and 2100MHz. Deltenna also integrates the radio for compact active antenna solutions. This can include the complete transceiver or only the RF front-end. Radios are available from 400MHz to 4GHz, with modules for up to 20W average output power. FAR-FIELD ANALYSIS OF INTEGRATED STRUCTURES (FAIS)Deltenna uses tools for the Far-field Analysis of Integrated Structures (FAIS) to model far-field patterns and Electro-Magnetic (EM) exposure. The system uses powerful and accurate 64-bit numerical analysis running on large multi-processor computers. These enable full 3D electro-magnetic modelling of structures at high frequencies from airplanes to mobile handsets. Advanced cell-reduction techniques enable radiating structures to be easily optimised and integrated. Benefits include the modelling of far-field patterns and the accurate simulation of any antenna de-tuning to allow corrections to be made. Propagation tools and models can also be modified using data generated from a virtual environment.
