Broadband Propagation is a specialist manufacturer with over 15 years of experience, particularly in broadband antennas. We supply broadband and fixed frequency MF, HF, VHF, UHF and microwave antennas for base, vehicle, transportable and manpack, tactical military communications including NVIS and spread spectrum or frequency hopping.

We design and manufacture RF transformers, feed-lines, loads, baluns, splitters and combiners.

Our in-house design and manufacture capabilities include well-equipped electronic test and measurement and materials testing laboratories. Production is implemented using CAD CAM with CNC and precision jig boring machine tools. We have 20-acre antenna test range for field proving our designs.

BASE AND FIXED STATION BROADBAND HF ANTENNAS - HF, VHF, UHF AND MICROWAVE

We offer a range of, compact, easily installed, high efficiency broadband wire dipole antennas which operate at less than VSWR 2:1 from 2MHz to 30MHz without tuning (models from receive-only to 5kW power handling).

We also manufacture log periodic, fixed frequency dipole and tuneable vertical whip antennas for fixed station use covering the full range of frequencies from MF to microwave. All antennas are constructed using the best available materials and are rated to withstand the most extreme environmental conditions (temperature, sandblast, salt spray, wind loading etc.).

PORTABLE MANPACK AND HF WIRE TACTICAL ANTENNAS - HF VHF UHF BROADBAND, TUNEABLE OR FIXED FREQUENCY

Our, foldable manpack whips and vehicle whips are constructed from special alloy material with significantly greater tensile and crush strength than fibreglass, composite fibreglass or aluminium.

We also supply tape whips for manpack tactical radio. Tape whips and foldable whips are mountable on our robust flexible gooseneck. Whips and goosenecks can be tailored to suit any mounting format.

We manufacture a range of HF broadband end-fed and centre-fed wire antennas that are light, compact and rapidly deployable. They can be erected using trees or other structures as supports or using our portable mast kits. Power ratings up to 500W.

We supply the world's lightest and most compact tuneable tactical vertical antennas.

HIGH IMPACT VEHICLE ANTENNAS

Broadband Propagation provides a range of the most rugged and durable vehicle mounted antennas available. Our range covers the HF, VHF and UHF bands.

The VHF and UHF antennas are broadband to suit frequency hopping and spread spectrum applications. All whips are constructed using state-of-the-art alloy technology, vastly superior to fibreglass in durability and impact resistance.

Our antenna base mounts are exceptionally robust in construction and are provided with three and six-hole NATO and four-hole US bolt patterns.

Typically our HF whip survives 400 vehicle-mounted impacts at 40km/h compared with the 25-impact rating of one major competitor.

HF AND VHF WIND PROFILER ATMOSPHERIC IONOSPHERIC AND METEOR RADAR ANTENNAS

A division of Broadband Propagation specialises in design, manufacture and installation of very large wind profiler radar arrays. The arrays have up to 512 separate antennas with power ratings of 50kW or more. They are installed in areas as environmentally diverse as Antarctica and the Gobi Desert in China.

We design and manufacture smaller arrays for meteor detection and ionospheric research. We have over ten years of experience, in conjunction with ATRAD and the University of Adelaide in this specialised field of antenna design.
