ZPS - 120mm and 125mm Tank Ammunition, Propellants and Propellant Charges, Signal and Riot Ammunition

Zakłady Produkcji Specjalnej (ZPS) is a longstanding, qualified supplier of ammunition products for the Polish Ministry of Defence.

Under the notice of the Polish Council of Ministers, it has been listed among companies, state enterprises and R&D entities that carry out business for state security and defence, and trade with foreign countries in goods, technologies and services of strategic importance both for Poland, and in contribution to international peace and security.

ZPS continuously develops, and takes the greatest care to meet the quality requirements of its customers. Obtaining the PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 and NATO AQAP 2110:2003 quality management certificates is proof of this.

125MM TANK AMMUNITION

The company's principal business is the production of weapons and ammunitions. Our high-quality 125mm tank ammunition consists of high-class separate loading tank cartridges. The following tactical and training rounds are manufactured:

• Armour-piercing fin-stabilised discarded sabot, APFSDS-T
• High-Explosive (HE)
• Cannon fire imitating round, ISA

120MM TANK AMMUNITION

Our latest products are those in our 120mm tank ammunition family. This includes 120mm APFSDS-T-TP and 120mm HE-TP practice rounds: one-piece cartridges intended for effective tank-crew training in places where, because of its maximum range, it is not possible to use tactical ammunition.

The performance of our 120mm training tank ammunition meets all relevant standards.

We have commenced the manufacture of 120mm HE-type tank ammunition cartridges, and are preparing the production of 120mm APFSDS-T tank ammunition. In addition, we offer cooperation in tank ammunition production, R&D projects and domestic / international trade.

ZB-WŁWD/Z MINE CLEARANCE COMBAT LAUNCHER

The ZB-WŁWD/Z combat launcher is designed for clearing passages in minefields by explosion, using a line charge which is towed by a rocket fired from a launcher-container.

The ZB-WŁWD/Z mine clearance combat launcher is characterised by reliable action, short set-up time for combat, and safe handling.

MILITARY NITROCELLULOSE PROPELLANTS

ZPS supplies a wide range of military nitrocellulose propellants, including those for:

• Artillery and mortar charges
• Small arms ammunition
• Hunting cartridges

MILITARY PROPELLANT CHARGES

ZPS also provides an extensive variety of military propellant charges, including those for:

• 122mm howitzers
• 152mm cannon howitzers des. 1937
• 152mm cannon howitzers des. 1977
• 60mm mortars

SIGNAL AND RIOT AMMUNITION

In addition, ZPS supplies a wide range of signal and riot ammunition, including:

• 26mm night rounds (flare and signal)
• 26mm day signal rounds
• 26mm flare rounds with chutes
• 40mm NSCh-40M signal rounds (chemical alert)

SPECIAL 26MM AMMUNITION AND PROPELLING CHARGES

ZPS's range of special 26mm ammunition and propelling charges includes:

• 26mm rubber shot rounds
• 26mm rubber bullet rounds
• Propelling charges for WP-20 and WP-26 ejectors

EXPERIENCE IN AMMUNITION PRODUCTS

ZPS draws on vast experience about ammunition products gained from its longstanding and well-established cooperation with scientific and research institutes connected with the Polish defence industry – viz., the Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU), in Zielonka, near Warsaw, and the Military Institute of Engineering Technology (WITI) in Wrocław.

The company employs experienced engineering and technical staff whose chief merit is a perfect knowledge of the technology and know-how used for the implementation of complicated industrial production processes, both military and civilian, that are unique to Poland.

Most of ZPS' ammunition products are based on technologies developed by its own staff, as well as technologies developed in cooperation with national scientific and research entities.
