Roketsan - Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher SystemsRoketsan Missiles Industries was established in 1988 to lead Turkey's national rocket and missile research and production programmes. Roketsan's world-class manufacturing centres produce NATO standard rockets, rocket launchers and missiles. 300MM MULTI-BARREL ROCKET LAUNCHER The 300mm Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) weapon system from Roketsan has a range of up to 100km. The T-300 MBRL is based on the German MAN (6×6) 26.372 10t cross-country truck chassis. Combat weight, complete with four rockets, is 23t. Each launcher has its own computerised fire-control system and land navigation system for reduced into-action times and more accurate target engagement.. 122MM MULTI-BARREL ROCKET LAUNCHER Roketsan is currently marketing an upgraded version of the T-122 MBRLS based on the latest generation MAN (6x6) cross-country truck chassis, which has a nuclear, biological and chemical defence system as well as air-conditioning. The T-122 launcher has two pods of 20 units of 122mm rocket tubes. Two pods of 20 rockets can be rapidly replaced by the resupply vehicle on a similar chassis using its onboard hydraulic crane. The pods are delivered in sealed units and discarded once fired. The original was the steel (multi-use) pod however the more recent one is the composite-sealed (single-use) pod. The composite pod can withstand high temperature, humidity, sand and salty conditions. The T-122 MBRL system possesses an advanced fire-control computer, digital secure communication system, armour-protected cab, NBC protection, composite pods, remote fuse and an automatic stabilisation system. The launcher can be used for all types and brands of 122mm unguided rockets. A new computerised Fire-Control System (FCS) in the front cab carries out a number of functions, including built-in tests before and during firing, storing up to 20 target locations and consideration of meteorological information in various formats. FCS calculates the firing data automatically using precise flight-simulation software. It automatically lays the rocket launcher onto the target and fires the 122mm rockets either one at a time or in intervals of ½s to 2s. The fuses can be set by remote control. It is hydraulically traversed and elevated via FCC with manual hand-wheels as a back up. The installation of the new FCS allows the system to come into action, fire a salvo of 40 units of 122mm rockets and depart in under five minutes. This reduces the exposure of the rocket system to counter-battery fire. A global positioning system / inertial navigation system improves the system's overall accuracy, and the MBRLS' secure digital communications system interfaces with the battery command centre. 107MM MULTI-BARREL ROCKET LAUNCHER The 107mm MBRL is a weapon system used by artillery and infantry support missions during day and night, and in all weather conditions. Although rockets can be fired from classic 107mm-towed MBRL, tactical efficiency of the ammunition increases when they are fired from the Roketsan-produced, vehicle-mounted, computer-controlled weapon system, the T-107. With the enclosure of hand computers that calculate the gun laying values with a flight simulation software, operating time is shortened and shoot accuracy is maximised.
