FAUN Trackway is pleased to announce its recent certification achievements of BS-EN 1090-1 and BS OHSAS 18001.
BS-EN 1090-1: 2009 + A1: 2011 (FPC certificate for load bearing and welded structural steel components up to EXC 2), gives qualification to execute fabrication of structural steel components and is the harmonised European standard covering fabricated structural steelwork.
From 1 July 2014, The Construction Products Regulation made it an offence to supply fabricated structural steelwork or aluminium that does not comply with the standard. Metalwork contractors need to be CE marked and have factory production control (FPC) procedures including traceability, competence, calibration and quality control.
BS OHSAS 18001 recognises and regularly assesses to a structured health and safety management system throughout the organisation and demonstrates FAUN Trackway’s commitment to the welfare of our staff and external parties.
